I hope everyone had a good time in D.C.!  I know your teachers all did. You guys were great!

Enjoy your April vacation and we will see you when you get back!

P.S. - if you are going on your job shadow this week, make sure you remember your question packet and your camera! If you need a new question packet - look under the job shadow tab!

The D.C. trip is finally here! Make sure you are prepared for the weather. Remember it is not going to be that warm and it may rain!  

Be at the school by 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.  Make sure you have EVERYTHING you need.  Also, bring the luggage check slip with you.  If you do not have it signed by your parents, your luggage will be checked by one of the teachers!

Hope you all are as excited as I am!

Please make sure you are working on your research projects! They are due FRIDAY!

Remember -
You must have at least three sources and at least a page (front and back) of notes.  Make sure you also include ALL of your sources in your bibliography!

If you did not hand in your book project on Thursday, make sure to have it Monday!

We are starting a new unit on the Civil Rights Movement.  We will be studying this time period until D.C. and then start reading our new novels when we get back from vacation.

Remember on FRIDAY we do not have a regular schedule.  In the morning, we will have our Holocaust presentation.  You will have regular exploratory classes and lunch.  Our afternoon will be spent watching the Freedom Writers (if you handed in your slip). There is NO study hall!

The due date for the next book project has been extended by A WEEK! The new due date will be March 23rd.

The final version of the Anne Frank Journal Project is due
WEDNESDAY Feb. 22.  Please make sure you double check your rubric (see  under novels - click on Anne Frank for the rubric if you lost it!)

I will be checking the CBAS writing prompt next week on FRIDAY (24th).  Please make sure you have finished and revised your persuasive essay by then! 

Your MOVIE PERMISSION SLIP is due by Wednesday the 22nd. PLEASE GET IT INTO ME if you want to watch the film Friday!

If you have not chosen a book for your next book project,
do that NOW! The next one is due March 16th!!!!
